Owners, Rob and Cathy Morin, long time birding enthusiasts, took the opportunity to open a wild bird retail business using personal skills acquired over several decades.  Visiting most of the wild bird stores in Michigan, we sought out advice from many owners of like businesses.  It took a year to write the business plan, secure financing, find a location, refurbish the building, and finally set up displays, stock the shelves, and open the doors!  Today we are proud to be one of Michigan’s largest wild bird retail stores catering to the wild bird enthusiast.  Whether you are a "casual," "fairly interested," or "very committed" birder, The Bird House provides a one-stop-shop for all your wild birding supplies.

Stocking over 25 different types of quality seed provides birds with seed they prefer and enhances the birding experience for you and your family. Seed is sold by the pound or in bags up to and including 50 pounds.  Check out the variety of suet cakes, nuggets or plugs and the live and roasted meal worms. 

Our inventory includes a variety of bird and bat houses, over 100 different types of bird and squirrel feeders, bird baths and fountains,binoculars and spotting scopes, wind chimes, sundials, yard art, flags, spinners, pole systems, weather vanes, mugs, books, and greeting cards as well as a multitude of unique gift items.
